Seems to be working ok. Just started using it and the temperature outside has not been that hot, so can't tell if the unit is cooling the room enough. I hope 6000 BTU's is sufficient enough for our bedroom.

I have owned several Frigidaire window units over the past decades and have found them to be the most dependable. This little 6K unit is replacing a 12 year old 6.5K Frigidaire and is doing the job nicely. The main reason I replaced the older unit was to take advantage of the improved energy efficiency of the newer units.

We have had an upright Frigidare Freezer for almost a year. It has saved us $100™€™s because we can buy meats and frozen foods on sale that we could not even think of buying without the freezer. It has worked so well when we replaced are upstairs in window AC units we looked specifically for Frigidare and received great values for our money. Not to mention buying a name brand at the best prices for both the 5 & 6,000 BYU units. We both in our 70™€™s on fixed income so these were god sends. AND they were a snappy to install and we love the controllable remotes! All three appliances are energy saving and our first electric bill with all three operating on the first month was $30 less than last year™€™s at the same time.Thank you Frigidare we seniors love your workhorse appliances at reasonable prices!!

Bent/Broken part on arrival

So far, I have not tested the AC to see if it is working correctly. Not sure if I received a refurbished unit from Home Depot, but the window rail came bent and it looks like it is cracking. Haven't plugged it in test if it works or if the remote control works because I am not able to fit it on the window without the rail. Not going to take any chances of something else break. Also, the bottom part of the AC it highly scratched so that's why I believe it is a refurbished model. I know in time an AC will get scratched or maybe some bumps throughout time, but I don't expect these things right out of the box. My roommates do have the same type of AC and they have no problems with it. I think mine is a 63 and theirs ends with a 62, but that's the only difference. I bought this based on them having experience with the model. Returning it would be a pain because I had it delivered and the box was held together by plastic straps. So once I cut the straps the bottom portion of the box does not stay connected to the sides or the top.

We ordered and received the AC unit, but it is March in The North so not installing it just yet. However, we did open the carton to remove the AC and plug it in to be sure it works, and it does. But there is an 11 ounce "top rail" that needs to be attached, and that part was obviously damaged in the factory, before packing and shipping.I called Frigidaire, and even after having already purchased the extended warranty, I was told by customer service that Frigidaire would not just send me a replacement part (11 ounces) but that I could return the whole AC (free shipping) and have a new one sent (also free shipping). So rather than just mail out one part weighing less than a pound, the solution was to ship two separate 52 pound packages.I'll figure a way to straighten the part instead.

Really like this air conditioner

I have really enjoyed this air conditioner during this past summer. I appreciate the Remote Sensing feature as it allows me to make sure a certain part of the room gets to the desired temperature. One little distraction is that the unit makes a little bit more noise, clicking, when the fan is running, but it's not actually cooling. The installation was pretty straightforward and the amount of insulation included was more than enough.

I called your customer service and let them know the issue that I was having with my air conditioner and they would not send somebody out to look at it they said my unit was not in the money range that they would do that so they just wanted just sent me a new one and I said I just had this unit put into my window they didn™€™t care they just said will send you a new one that irritated me so I went back to Home Depot so they sent me a new one and it is still doing the same thing not releasing water which it stays in the back of the air conditioner and one review says it causes mold after period of time I asked the people on your customer service about this issue and nobody seem to know what was going on so I am very displeased with Frigidaire and I will never purchase another Frigidaire again after what I™€™m experiencing.my second unit is still not releasing water and I do not know what™€™s going on so that™€™s my review

AC works as described. The remote control, timer, and ability to turn Eco mode on/off are all handy benefits to this unit. I also appreciate the Energy Star status, which makes me feel better about running it. Only downside is that sometimes the internal thermostat doesn't seem to be accurate when the unit has been running for a while.

I bought the window unit new and installed it in April 2021 and it worked great for 4 months. One day I cam home and the unit was set to 86 without the ability to change it. All buttons on the panel and remote were unresponsive and even after resetting the unit, leaving it unplugged for a while, it was still stuck on 86 with the fan running. I couldn't even turn the unit off when it was plugged in. Pretty disappointed honestly.

Found this model at Home Depot and was able to save using one of the Home Depot coupons I get. Unit is very quiet, cools off the room quickly and is a great energy saver on Economy Mode. Was quick to set up and was lighter than my previous unit despite more BTUs offered. Happy with my purchase.

After spending hours researching the many types of AC units and their reviews I chose this as my first AC purchase for the bedroom (18' x 13' = 234 sf. It is advertised for rooms up to 250 sf). No matter the temperature or mode setting, or how long it is running, it turns off when the room temp is 73 degrees. One of the main reasons I picked this unit was for the lower noise rating. Being my first AC unit I have nothing to compare it to except your usual hotel AC. It isn't much quieter. The unit is actually quietest with the fan on high which I find to be odd. Overall, it does cool the room which would be 80 degrees without it. But considering it is advertised to maintain a temperature as low as 62 it is disappointing that the lowest room temperature obtained is 73 degrees.
